About Musicpatio
We are dedicated to promote Chinese traditional guzheng music and culture. We understand the difficulty for people in the United States to access the guzheng resource and share their interest. We work very hard, often every single day to fulfill our mission - to bridge the gap between the East and the West, to promote greater understanding and appreciation of guzheng music and Chinese culture, and to provide cultural exchange opportunities for students and guzheng lovers.
Musicpatio.com is founded by Mr. Yunqing Pan and Ms. Huibi Liu. Yunqing is a renown guzheng performer and instructor with over 20 years of experience in guzheng performing and over 8 years in guzheng teaching. Huibi is an enthusiastic lover of guzheng music and Chinese culture promoter. We teach the students not only guzheng playing skills, but also the relevant culture and background behind the guzheng music.
We understand that everyone's participation and contribution are needed to promote guzheng music. Mr. Pan and his students have given many performances in various
events in the United States during the past few years, from charity fundraising events to private parties, from multi-cultural celebrations to Chinese festivals. His students won many awards from the schools, colleges, and communities for their guzheng performances as well as their contributions to the multicultural society.
Besides guzheng music, Mr. Pan gave lectures on Chinese arts and cultures. MusicPatio has been featured on TV, radio broadcastings, and newspapers, including Comcast TV, Chicago Tribune, Hyde Park Herald, World Journal, China Journal, etc.
